Green coffee extract (GCA) is derived from raw, unroasted green coffee beans which are naturally low in caffeine. It is high in chlorogenic and caffeic acid, the two primary compounds responsible for the activity of green coffee. Chlorogenic acids are present in a variety of foods consumed daily. Caffeic acid is well known for its anti-oxidant power.
